- NBT Skinks are very hard to sex, even in adulthood. Sometimes, blood test are necessary in order to tell the sex of a skink. Though, on rare occasion when a skink is making a bowel movement, it (he) may extrude its hemipenes which is a telltale sign of its sex.
- In my observation, males tend to be a little longer overall, with longer tails, and have more slender heads. Females on the other hand, appear a little more girthy, have shorter tails, and slightly thicker/bigger heads with a broader snout.
